When using electronic devices for long periods of time they can become unstable and even cause damage to the motherboard capacitor.

This is caused when the motherboards are active for long periods of time and there is heat expansion and this causes the electrolyte lead which contains aluminium oxide to overheat, this in turn causes the capacitor to lose some of its functions and not work to its full potential, it can also heat up to as high as boiling point and then the capacitor can blow or explode.

 Also, if your motherboard has not been active for a long period of time and is then started again the electrolyte lead can form a chemical reaction caused by electricity when device is plugged in and can then also form an explosion.
