Taipei, Taiwan-
13th March - Animation Technologies, a leading provider of multimedia
products, announces a new Pocket PC? accessory, the FlyCAM-CF. The
FlyCAM-CF is the world's first CompactFlash? form factor camera
that is designed to support all Pocket PC? type mobile devices equipped
with a CF type I slot. Full-motion video and still image capture,
video-conferencing are the key features of the FlyCAM-CF.
The FlyCAM-CF digital video camera cards allows all Pocket PC? PDA
users with a free CompactFlash? slot to take still or full-motion
images and send them to their home or office instantly. The swivel
lens allows you to point in multiple directions in a 180° range
for impressive photo possibilities. Other advanced features include
640x480 image resolution, manual capture mode, three different imaging
controls (auto gain control, auto white balance and auto-exposure)
and a self-timer with adjustable time settings. Plus, you can use
your Pocket PC? for color viewing, e-mailing, beaming, pc transfer
and storage or management of captured images and video files too.
On top of the compatibility with all Pocket PC? devices, the FlyCAM-CF
boasts two other unique features over rival CF-type cameras. The
first is support for a remote control device and the second is the
inclusion of an internal rechargeable battery. Adjacent to the lens
is a sensor that allows the user to start/stop video recording,
plus take 'snapshots' remotely using the infrared remote. The benefit
of the FlyCAM-CF's internal battery is that it not only affords
longer operation time for recording video or grabbing photos, it
also saves wear and tear on the Pocket PC's primary battery, thereby
extending its lifespan.
For people constantly on the go, communication is critical and the
FlyCAM-CF is the perfect solution for keeping up-to-date with the
office, clients or sending personal messages to friends or family
members. The software bundled with the FlyCAM-CF transforms a wireless
enabled Pocket PC? device into a portable video-conferencing tool.
Users can connect directly to anyone based on a desktop running
applicable video-conferencing software and Internet connection.
Animation representatives will be on hand to provide further details
regarding this solution in Hall 02 Booth B52 at CeBIT 2002 held
from March13th to 20th in Hannover, Germany.
